JOIN OAK LAWN UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, GRACIA VIVA, UNION, AND AREA RECONCILING MINISTRY CHURCHES IN THE ALAN ROSS TEXAS FREEDOM PARADE.
This year Oak Lawn UMC offers several ways in which members of the church and community can participate in the Dallas Pride Parade.
Saturday Preparation Celebration
SWAG
Come to the church on Saturday, June 3rd from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. to help organize and assemble OLUMC & Gracia Viva giveaways to hand out on the parade route.
FLOAT
While swag is being assembled inside, we'll need help building the float (1-2 trucks and a trailer) in the church parking lot. Dress cool and wear your sunscreen!
Volunteers for both projects will be provided with soft drinks, lunch, and snacks.
Pride Sunday
WORSHIP
Meet us in the church or on Facebook Live on Sunday, June 4th for worship at 11 a.m.
PARADE
To walk with us in the parade, meet us at Fair Park no later than 1 p.m. to park and be at the staging area by 1:30 p.m. Wear comfortable shoes and sunscreen; bring a bottle of water and fabulous vibes.
If you will be at Fair Park to watch, the parade will begin at 2 p.m. Admission is free.
