A Community of Healing, Hope & Belonging
At Oak Lawn UMC, recovery is more than a program — it’s a way of life rooted in grace, community, and transformation. Every week, our church opens its doors to more than 500 people who gather for 12-step meetings, support groups, and shared moments of healing. Whether you are walking through the early days of recovery, supporting a loved one, or seeking spiritual grounding on your journey, you are welcome here.
Our recovery ministry is guided by the belief that God’s grace meets us exactly where we are — and never leaves us there. We honor the courage it takes to begin again and recognize recovery as a deeply spiritual path that leads to freedom, connection, and wholeness.
