Show Up.
We don’t worship from the sidelines. We show up—in the streets, at the polls, in the pews, and at the tables where decisions are made. To be the Church means being fully present in the places where our faith meets the world’s pain. Our presence is part of the protest.

Speak Up.
Silence is not neutral—it’s complicity. We speak up against injustice, hatred, and harm—and for equity, dignity, and belonging. As followers of Jesus, our voices must rise in love and in truth, especially when it’s hard. Because preaching rainbows without naming the storm is not enough.
Lift up.
We lift up those who are weary, grieving, or forgotten. We lift up stories that have been silenced, names that have been erased, and communities under attack. This is the Gospel in action: not just love in theory, but love that lifts. Love that sees. Love that heals.

One City, Many Colors – October 18
Join us at the Legacy of Love Monument, located just across the intersection from the church, as we come together to show our support for our community in response to the governor’s order to remove rainbow crosswalks this month. Let’s stand proud and represent Oak Lawn and OLUMC—Dallas’s most vibrant and welcoming church!
If you have any questions or would like to help coordinate, please reach out to Pastor Ryan. Otherwise, simply meet in front of the church a few minutes before the event.
Let’s celebrate love, diversity, and unity—see you there!
