Join us for a sacred day of remembrance, community, education, and hope as we honor the transgender and gender-diverse lives lost to violence and hatred this year and reaffirm our commitment to a future where all people can live with dignity, safety, and love.
Our 11 a.m. worship service will offer space for prayer, music, reflection, and remembrance as we speak the names of those we have lost and find hope together.
Following worship, we invite everyone to participate in:
- TransGiving Lunch: A shared meal celebrating community, gratitude, belonging, and chosen family.
- Community-Led Workshops: Opportunities to listen, learn, and deepen our understanding of the experiences of transgender, non-binary, and gender-diverse people.
- Community Resources: Meet DFW-area organizations offering healthcare, education, advocacy, and other supportive services.
- Trans Clothing Closet Tours: Explore Oak Lawn UMC’s gender-affirming clothing ministry and learn how it supports our transgender and gender-diverse neighbors.
Whether you are part of the LGBTQ+ community, love someone who is, or want to grow in understanding and solidarity, you are welcome here.
Enhanced security measures will be in place to help ensure a safe, welcoming, and affirming environment for all participants.
